LSU’s 2026 recruiting class was built through the defensive trenches, and it was up to Lane Kiffin to keep it that way.

That’s what Kiffin and the new Tigers staff accomplished on Friday, the final day of the early signing period. LSU signed five-star defensive lineman Lamar Brown, four-star edge rusher Trenton Henderson and four-star defensive lineman Deuce Geralds, putting pen to paper with three of the 70 best players in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

“I obviously can't name them individually, the recruits,” Kiffin said during his introductory press conference on Monday. “So that is our number one focus right now is to sign the best class that we possibly can Wednesday.”
