KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two people have been sent to the University of Tennessee Medical Center after a shooting and car crash, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

KPD said officers were investigating the incident in the area of W. Oldham Avenue and Worth Street. The two people inside the car were sent to the hospital, with one of them injured in the shooting.

"Detectives are responding to the scene and leading the investigation, which is in the early stages," KPD said.
