A coastal flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:08 p.m. valid for Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for Clatsop County Coast.
The weather service adds, "Tidal overflow flooding expected."
"Total tide of up to 11.0 feet at Toke Point and up to 10.2 feet at Tongue Point will result in minor flooding up to one foot above ground level during high tides in low-lying areas near bays, sloughs, and in the lower reaches of coastal rivers," describes the weather service. "A Coastal Flood Advisory means that tidal overflow flooding is expected. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and property."
