The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw caught plenty of attention - as fans around the world tuned in to discover which nations would be facing off for the ultimate prize in international football.

It was an evening filled with plenty of surprises - many of which came under-fire from spectators - who were left baffled by how long the draw took, along with many different segments planned out by Gianni Infantino.

Among many of the huge calls on the evening was the decision to place former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand , as one of the main hosts for proceedings, as he took centre stage for the key moment.
