THOMPSONVILLE — Crystal Mountain opened its slopes December 5th, marking the start of the skiing and snowboarding season.
The resort has prepared for the season by making snow for over 65 hours, which complements the natural foot of snow that fell the week before. Crystal Mountain will feature three open lifts and at least seven open runs for visitors to enjoy.
“You notice a lot of people have smiles on their face. This is just an uplifting day, not only for our staff, but all our guests to come out here and enjoy skiing,” said John Melcher, CEO of Crystal Mountain. “It’s a great family activity. There’s trails that can accommodate people of all different skills.”
