LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Holt Junior High’s Sydney Moore plays a key role in promoting health for local students. So much so that she’s been named Michigan’s Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year.
Engaging students while educating can be a challenge. But for Mrs. Moore, she rises to the task every single day.
“We do a lot of unique things, we do a lot of yard games, cardio drumming,” Moore said. “I really try to make the program well-balanced, so they can find that one niche that they want to continue using outside.”
By stepping outside the box to create fun activities for students and their well-being, Mrs. Moore’s efforts have not gone unnoticed.
