Lefty NYC Councilmember Chi Ossé is ending his short-lived campaign against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries amid pushback from incoming Mayor Zohran Mamdani and a failed attempt to gain the backing of New York’s Democratic Socialists of America, the Post has learned.
Ossé has been one of the more prominent progressive pols to fully embrace the Democratic Socialists of America as they look to seize on Mamdani’s vanquishing of ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo to take out other more establishment Dems.
