People shopping at Morrisons will notice a change at the tills over the coming days.

The supermarket has announced a new initiative running from now until Sunday, December 7, which gives shoppers the option to have a 'slower-paced' experience at the checkouts.

Morrisons is teaming up with ITV Good Morning Britain's 1 Million Minutes campaign, which aims to tackle loneliness in the UK. To support the campaign, the supermarket is introducing 'Talking Tills' at every store across the country.

Customers will get the chance to spend a little more time at the checkout so they can enjoy a light-hearted or meaningful conversation with the staff. The initiative will run from Thursday, December 4, until Sunday, December 7.
