Barrio Burrito Bar, the fast-casual Mexican restaurant known for its customizable burritos, bowls, tacos and quesadillas, has opened its newest location at 7120 University Ave., Suite 103, in West Des Moines. The restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere and a menu packed with fresh ingredients and house-made salsas.

The West Des Moines opening marks the first step in owners Sonal, Vishal and Amit Patel’s plan to expand the brand across Iowa, Nebraska and Indiana. The trio, experienced franchisees with deep roots in Ames and Ankeny, launched their first Iowa location in Ankeny in May.
