CONCORD, N.H. —

The cold weather is here, and while the snow and ice are beautiful, officials are reminding everyone of the hazards that can come with it.

From checking for thin ice to fully clearing snow off vehicles, state safety officials want to remind people that they can never been too cautious headed into the winter.

"Flying ice can shatter windshields, cause other drivers to swerve, so take time to please clear your vehicle before driving on our roadways," Lt. Christopher Storm, of New Hampshire State Police, said.
