ACPS updates student resource officer program

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Albemarle County Public Schools has updated its student resource officer program, introducing changes aimed at strengthening school safety while clarifying the role of law enforcement on campus.

“When you send your children to school, you want them to learn and to be safe,” said Jason Grant, ACPS chief communications officer. “The purpose there is about making sure that there is a presence to maintain security and safety.”
