Authorities have released the name of the woman who was struck and killed by a CTA bus on Chicago's South Side earlier this week.
Tracy Frasure, 42, of Chicago, died following the crash at approximately Wednesday morning in the 7000 block of South South Shore Drive near East 70th Street.
According to CTA officials, a woman approached the bus, which was stationary, on foot.
The woman, identified as Frasure, slipped as the bus began to move forward, and she was struck, authorities stated.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported, CTA said.
Chicago police were conducting an investigation.
