The White House on Friday bowed to intense pressure from pop star Sabrina Carpenter and her fans by removing a controversial social media video promoting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Earlier this week, Carpenter strongly condemned the White House for the unauthorized use of her popular song “Juno” in an X post featuring footage of ICE agents tackling people and arresting them.
“Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye,” the White House wrote Monday on X, referencing Carpenter’s lyrics.
Carpenter responded the following day: “this video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”
The White House deleted the video from its X account Friday afternoon.
