A Monmouth County man has been indicted on charges he threatened a witness in a 2024 murder trial, Monmouth County prosecutors said.

Jaisun Z. Brown, 21, of Asbury Park was charged with second-degree witness retaliation.

Investigators said Brown started harassing and threatening a witness to a 2022 homicide who testified at the trial in 2024.

Beginning in April 2025, authorities said Brown sent several communications threatening or suggesting violence toward the witness for their role in the trial after the person convicted was sentenced.

Brown threatened violence against the witness, according to charging documents. He also linked statements and pictures of the witness’s friend who was killed in a homicide to the witness’s social media.
