Drug investigation: Smith Road
A Brook Park man, 59, faces criminal charges after police found what they believed was heroin and methamphetamine in his Chevrolet Silverado.
Police stopped the Silverado on southbound Smith near Remora Boulevard after seeing the pickup truck’s tires on the middle yellow line. Also the man waited too long to signal a lane change.
Police recognized the man from previous encounters. They knew that people who used narcotics sometimes stayed at his house.
A police K-9 indicated that illegal drugs were in the Silverado. Police found two bags – one containing suspected heroin and the other containing suspected meth – in the driver’s-side door.
