Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday met with his Indian counterpart Droupadi Murmu and attended a ceremonial reception together with his Russian delegation.

Speaking at the event, Putin expressed his appreciation to India for the hospitality extended.

"I know that in India they say, 'Go together, grow together.' These words truly reflect the spirit, character, and traditions of Russian-Indian relations," Putin said.

Putin landed in India Thursday on a state visit aimed at bolstering bilateral and economic ties between the two countries.
