HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The strike outside Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children reached its 50th day Friday, as the union representing hundreds of workers says negotiations remain at a standstill.
Workers continue to picket from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily.
On Friday, outside the Women’s and Children’s Center, picketers followed their usual routine but chanted profanities, including repeated versions of “F*** around and find out” outside the hospital.
The hospital has previously faced noise complaints related to the strike.
In a statement Friday, Gidget Ruscetta, RN and chief operating officer for Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children, criticized the language used:
