LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Top-ranked Nebraska opened the NCAA Tournament with a dominant sweep of Long Island Friday night, sweeping 3-0 to advance to the second round.

Set scores were 25-11, 25-15, 25-17, as Nebraska Athletics announced a sold-out attendance of 8,656 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The Huskers (31-0) hit a blistering .476 — the best postseason hitting percentage in program history during the rally-scoring era. LIU (20-9) was held to .094 hitting, marking the 14th time this season Nebraska has kept an opponent under .100.
