No. 2 Riverside is headed back to the Caesars Superdome.

The Rebels held a one-touchdown lead at halftime, and running back Jayden Obiekwe found the end zone four times after intermission to lead his team to a 42-14 win against No. 6 Ascension Episcopal in a Division IV select semifinal game at Mickey Roussel Field on Friday night.

Riverside (11-1) will make its second state championship appearance in three years when it was the runner-up in 2023. The Rebels will play No. 5 Ascension Catholic in the championship game on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Riverside has not won a state title since 2016.
