EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - No. 1 Michigan hockey rolled past No. 3 Michigan State in the first of four meetings between the two teams with a 3-0 victory at Munn on Friday.
The Wolverines got on the board with their first shot of the game from Malcolm Spence to put Michigan up 1-0.
The Wolverines would then tack on two goals in the third from Aidan Park and Jayden Perron, and Jack Ivankovic made all 23 of his saves.
The two teams will play again at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor on Saturday at 7 p.m.
