There are scant days left in session for the U.S. Senate to act before, on Dec. 31, the Affordable Care Act tax credits are set to expire.
I’ve heard from neighbors and friends that they’ve already received notice that their insurance premiums have nearly quadrupled. With two out of three Americans living from paycheck to paycheck, many may choose to go without insurance.
How is this “Making America Great Again?” I fear that we are becoming a nation of the “haves and have nots,” especially in light of the effects of the “One Big Not So Beautiful Bill of Betrayal.”
I urge our U.S. Sens. Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno to vote to extend these ACA credits and make them permanent, so that everyone can thrive, no exceptions.
