PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - In the nightcap of the D.J. Begley Classic, Martin County faced Perry Co. Central and won, 80-54.
Early in the first quarter, Martin County took a 7-2 lead.
The Commodores would regain the lead, thanks to 11 first quarter points from Landon Miller.
PCC led, 22-16 going into the second quarter, however, it did not take long for the Cardinals to get back on top.
In the second frame, Bryson Dials was dialed in, recording 10 points, six of which were off of two triples.
Braxton Keathley also contributed heavily in the second quarter, scoring 13 points.
Martin County scored 30 points in the second frame alone.
The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 4:30 p.m. as they take on Oneida Baptist Institute in day two of the D.J. Begley Boys Basketball
