PALESTINE, Texas (KTRE) - The Mount Enterprise Wildcats are headed to the state semifinals for the first time in school history following a 64-58 win over Bremond in the 2A Division II regional final Friday night in Palestine.

During the game, Wildcats’ running back Kaegan Ash broke a 72 year record for most rushing yards in a season.

Sugarland’s Kenneth Hall set the record in 1953 with 4,045 yards.

Mount Enterprise will face the Shiner Comanches in the state semifinals next week.
