ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico has a high rate of maternal mortality.

In more rural parts of the state, the problem is exacerbated, said Neepa Acharya, the Adhara Health Founder and CEO, at a recent conference at the Central New Mexico Community College Workforce Training Center.

Acharya would like to change that using artificial intelligence.

Experts, including a professor from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a South Korean judge and small-business owners from around the state who use AI in their work, talked ethics, policy and AI uses as large language models like ChatGPT rapidly advance.
