DENTON – After having its past two seasons end in the regional finals at the hands of North Crowley, the Allen football team exorcised a few playoff demons on Friday.

The Eagles executed with a sense of urgency from the onset, finding the end zone on each of their first three possessions within the first 14 minutes from DATCU Stadium and forcing the Panthers to operate at a double-digit deficit the rest of the night – all culminating in a 33-21 Allen victory to oust the reigning Class 6A Division I state champions from the postseason.
