CANTON, Ohio — When St. Xavier and Olentangy Orange took the field at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Friday, it was a tale of two histories.
The trip to the Division I state championship game was the eighth for St. Xavier, which had won four state titles, while Orange was making its first appearance in the season’s final game.
Orange capped a perfect season with a 28-14 win.
