This is the conclusion of a weekly series through the college football season in which a current Steeler gives his thoughts on a projected top prospect for next year’s NFL draft in Pittsburgh.
Another year, another trip to the SEC championship game for Georgia. And, as always, the Bulldogs are strong up front, with a top-15 scoring defense limiting opponents to just 3 yards per carry.
Redshirt junior Christen Miller, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound in-state native, is a major reason why. Miller (whose first name is pronounced like Christian) has started every game at defensive tackle for No. 3 Georgia (11-1) en route to a rematch with No. 9 Alabama for the conference title Saturday. With just 20 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, the stats belie the impact of a run-stuffer in the middle.
