Less than 10% Chicago Police Department arrests were of Amercian Indian or Alaska Native individuals during the third quarter of 2025, totaling 12 cases, according to data published by the City of Chicago Police Department, in its Data Portal.
During this period, Amercian Indian or Alaska Native individuals accounted for the lowest number of arrests in Chicago, making up 0.1% of the total occurrences. Blacks represented the largest share at 64.2%, with White Hispanics following at 22.7%, and whites at 9%. All remaining ethnicities collectively accounted for 4% of arrests.
According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Chicago is 32.7% white, 28.8% black, 29% Hispanic and 7% Asian.
The third quarter includes the months of July, August and September.
