A man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder on Friday after a woman was found dead near Willowbrook Park on Thursday afternoon, Westminster police said.

Annette Marie Valdez, 37, of Northglenn was pronounced dead after “being involved in an incident” in the 12400 block of Delaware Street in Westminster, the Adams County Coroner’s Office said Friday.

The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation.

Westminster police were called to the area at 3:30 p.m. Thursday after “reports of a deceased individual,” the agency said on social media .
