JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) -One person has died after a three-vehicle collision Friday night on SC-462 near Snake Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. and involved a 2024 Ford F-150, a 2016 Jeep Compass and a 2024 Jeep Cherokee, said Sergeant Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Ford F-150 was killed in the collision. The Jasper County Coroner’s Office will release information about the deceased.

All other occupants of the cars were taken to local area hospitals.

The Ford F-150 was traveling north on SC-462 while the Jeep Compass and Jeep Cherokee were both traveling south on SC-462 when all three vehicles collided, Tidwell said.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
