A 45-year-old man was pronounced dead late Friday night after he was found lying unresponsive on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds in the Garfield Park neighborhood.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m., Chicago police responded to a call of a person shot in the 3800 block of West Adams Street and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
He was identified as Carl McDonald of the 3200 block of West Arthington Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
