The New York Giants are apparently making some changes during its bye in Week 14.

With a 2-11 record, the Giants have been mathematically eliminated from making the playoffs. In November, New York fired head coach Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Shane Bowen.

The Giants promoted assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka to the interim head coaching position. He's played a key role in trying to change the culture in New York after Daboll was fired. He canned Bowen.

Kafka has also disciplined first-round pick Abdul Carter. The linebacker was benched in the first defensive series against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1
