An elderly resident was left “devastated” after the beloved senior cat his late wife had rescued went missing.
Julie Nashawaty was supposed to be celebrating her second wedding anniversary with husband, Steve Granelli, on the evening of Tuesday October 21, but all she could think about was Ariel the 17-year-old cat.
Nashawaty is a full-time professional cat sitter and cat rescue volunteer based in Boston’s South End. She’s someone people turn to when they have a problem with their cat. “I work with families all over the neighborhood, but I’m also the person people text when they find a stray , an abandoned pet, or a cat that needs immediate help,” she told Newsweek .
