SUN CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — Authorities have reopened a major West Valley intersection after a fiery multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning.

Just after 6:45 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the intersection of 99th Avenue and Grand Avenue for reports of a serious crash that caused a vehicle fire.

While state troopers say it involved multiple vehicles and caused injuries, they haven’t confirmed how many vehicles or people were involved, how many were hurt, or the extent of injuries.

The crash briefly blocked the eastbound left lanes and westbound lanes on Grand Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The intersection completely reopened in all directions shortly before 8:30 a.m.
