Glasgow's pro ice hockey team are asking fans to donate to a series of Christmas appeals for those who are less fortunate this festive season. Glasgow Clan , who play at Braehead Arena, are calling on hockey fans and local people to donate toys or food to a couple of collections taking place this week.

Next Friday (December 12) the team are asking for donations of non-perishable foods which will go to Feed East Renfrewshire Now (FERN), a local food bank.

Braehead Arena also kicked off their toy donation event for Renfrewshire Toy bank on Friday (December 5), and with themed skating sessions taking place every day, donation points for both collections will be open throughout next week.
