Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack has called for a 60 second limit to be imposed on VAR to reach a decision. ‌

And the Dons supremo insists if a call can’t be made inside a minute then the referee’s decision should stand. ‌

Cormack reckons any decision that takes longer isn’t clear and obvious - the IFAB criteria for the technology being used to refer the referee to the monitor - and insists if Scottish officials continue to blunder then VAR should be suspended indefinitely. ‌

He told BBC Scotland : “My opinion, and this is not just for Aberdeen but the whole of Scottish football, is that if it takes four minutes to make a decision then it’s not clear and obvious. If they can’t make a decision within 60 seconds then the on-field decision should be upheld. Ho
