Car-truck crash, damage to public property, mutual aid requested: Cedar, Chagrin River roads

Hunting Valley officers responded to a crash scene involving a car running into a village service department plow truck at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 27.

Both drivers escaped injury, with Gates Mills police called in to take the accident report as a courtesy to avoid any potential conflict of interest involving a village employee.

The car took the worst of it as that driver -- determined at-fault by Gates Mills police -- received a courtesy ride to her job in Novelty (Russell Township) from a Hunting Valley detective.
