Manhattan begins a new chapter of its basketball program this season with a new head coach. But Caleb Bellach hopes to continue the success the team has enjoyed over the past decade.
The Tigers have competed in the state Class B tournament in four of the past six years and reached the state championship game in 2021. Last year’s team had its share of ups and downs during a 14-12 campaign but competed in the district and divisional championship games under former head coach Mike Deming.
Bellach is a first-time head coach but plans to draw on his vast playing experience at Manhattan Christian, Montana State University and Montana Tech. He also briefly embarked on a professional career overseas before returning to the Gallatin Valley.
