GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the Grady County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) announced two new additions to its team: K-9 Ares and K-9 Garo.
In their first two weeks, K-9s Ares and Garo made 11 deployments, seizing:
121 grams of methamphetamine
32 grams of marijuana
A quantity of fentanyl
A quantity of oxycodone multiple drug-related items
Additionally, the K-9s accomplished:
Five felony arrests, including:
Two trafficking methamphetamine
Two possessions with intent to distribute methamphetamine
One possession of a controlled substance
Two no-bite apprehensions, in which suspects surrendered because of the K-9s’ presence — including a wanted child molestation
