FINDLAY — Scott Garlock, who guided Liberty-Benton’s football program to substantial success in two separate stints leading the program, has stepped down as the Eagles’ coach.
Garlock, an intervention specialist within the Liberty-Benton school system, will also be retiring as an educator later this month, according to L-B athletic director Nate Irwin.
Garlock guided the Eagles to a 47-12 record the past five seasons and a 94-25 record overall, which included a five-year stretch from 2002 to 2006 in which Liberty-Benton won three Blanchard Valley Conference titles and a Division V, Region 18 title in 2006.
During his second stint, Liberty-Benton claimed the BVC title each of the last three seasons and reached the Region 18 playoffs every year. The Eagles finished 12-1 in 2025, with the
