CENTERVILLE, Ga. — Centerville announced that they are postponing their Christmas parade on Saturday afternoon.
They said in a social media post that the new date of the parade is Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.
The parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6.
"After careful consideration and monitoring the ever-changing weather conditions, the Mayor and City Council have made the necessary decision to postpone the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade," they said in the post. "The decision has been made in the interest of public safety for all participants, volunteers, and spectators.
In the post, they apologized for "any inconvenience this change may cause" and thanked the community for their continued support.
