INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana basketball couldn't overcome a slow start against Louisville on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The No. 19 Hoosiers (8-1, 0-1 Big Ten) dropped a second straight game with a 87-78 loss to the No. 6 Cardinals (8-1; 0-0 ACC) after spotting them 16 points at the start of the game.

Indiana got within seven points thanks a flurry of offense in the final minutes — Nick Dorn hit three triples in the final 2:15 — but there just wasn't enough time left on the clock to come back from a deficit that ballooned to 19 points in the second half.

Tucker DeVries led the Hoosiers with 26 points and Dorn scored 15 points off the bench with all of his scoring coming in the second half.
