OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy is being praised for his quick thinking.
On Friday night, DCSO deputy Joseph Komor was first on scene for an unresponsive 1 month old at a home in the Irvington neighborhood.
“When I got there I was the first car there and I just went up to the door and knocked,” explained Deputy Komor. “I was greeted by a elementary aged child who led me to the backroom where I walked in on the mother of the 1 month old performing CPR on the child.”
Deputy Komor says there was a good sense of panic in the room when he arrived.
He could tell there was a lot of stress in the room and he says that is when his training kicked in.
