SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga Bulldogs survived a late UC Davis Aggies run to hold onto an 83-72 win.
Lauren Whittaker led the Zags with 19 points, most of which in the first half. She added five rebounds and a career-high four steals.
Ines Bettencourt led the second half hold to the led that was at most 31 and shrunk to seven. The Spaniard scored 16 points, including a huge three to push the Aggies away in the fourth quarter.
The Zags shot a remarkable 44% from three, hitting 12 deep balls, their most in any game so far this season.
Next up for Gonzaga is a ten-day break before a date against the Arizona State Sun Devils on Tuesday, December 16 at 6:00 p.m.
