Rangers have been told that goalkeeper Jack Butland should have been sent off for a challenge in the win over Kilmarnock. But the decision by VAR to not penalise Mohamed Diomande for a pull on David Watson for a penalty has been explained.
The home side were left raging in the wake of a 3-0 defeat at Rugby Park as two big calls by the match officials went against them. With Stuart Kettlewell sent to the stands for his pitchside protests, No. 2 Stevie Frail vented over the decision to not awarding a penalty for David Watson after he was held by Diomande on the edge of the box.
Gavin Duncan and the VAR team would take a look at the incident, but referee Kevin Clancy was not advised to point to the spot or review the incident at the pitchside monitor
