Two Windsor-Essex hunters were fined a total of $7,000, and the moose they killed was donated to a local Indigenous community, after pleading guilty to breaking hunting party rules in northern Ontario.
The MNR said Justice of the Peace Jennifer L. Robinson heard the case in a Thunder Bay court on August 12, 2025, but officials did not release the results of the case until Friday.
Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources said Friday that Scott Nadalin, of Windsor, pleaded guilty to hunting moose without a licence. He was fined $5,000.
Anthony Diesbourg, of Belle River, has pleaded guilty to unlawfully invalidating his tag on an animal killed by another person. He was fined $2,000.
