MUSKEGON, MI — A midday shooting in a quiet Muskegon neighborhood left two people dead and sent three others to the hospital.
Police have not announced any arrests. Investigators do not believe the shooting in the Jackson Hill neighborhood was random.
Officers were dispatched on Saturday, Dec. 6, to a home in the 600 block of Jackson Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police found multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Few details have been released about the shooting and the circumstances that led to it.
The scene was cleared as of late Sunday morning with police tape lines taken down in the area and forensic glove remnants lying in the snow.
Muskegon’s mayor asked the community to come together and care for one another.
