Dominik Shine scored a goal in his 500 th game with Grand Rapids Sunday and the Griffins defeated the Toronto Marlies 4-2 to cap a two-game weekend sweep at the Coca-Cola Coliseum.
The Griffins improved to 19-1-0-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) for an AHL-best 39 points and .929 points percentage. They at 9-0-0-1 on the road.
Dustin Tokarski made 25 saves for his first win as a Griffin in his second appearance since signing a professional tryout contract on Nov. 13.
Carson Bantle scored a goal and added an assist. Antti Tuomisto and Eduards Tralmaks also scored goals. Ian Mitchell provided a pair of assists.
