SWIM: WATER WARS ARE UNDER WAY

Henry Schanbeck and Daniel Ahrens were battling all afternoon on the first day of swim season.

It’s a tussle that could last all year.

Two of the area’s top swimmers – who are expected to push each other for the top times this season – combined to win all five events at the season-opening Bobcat Pentathlon. The tradition-rich event gave 107 swimmers a chance to get their feet wet in all four strokes plus the medley.
