MUSKEGON, Mich. — A person of interest is in custody in connection with a shooting that left two people dead and three others hurt in Muskegon on Saturday, according to the Muskegon Police Department (MPD).

Police said around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, multiple people entered a home in the 600 block of Jackson Avenue.

MPD said preliminary information showed that the people inside the home were likely familiar with the people who entered the home.

According to police, an altercation occurred inside the home, which resulted in gunfire.

Information suggests the incident might have been connected to a robbery, police said.

Joshua Foundren Jr., 25, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
